Now in our 9th year of Summer School fun, our spectacular West End Holiday School will be in Hull this August. We are thrilled to have secured Middleton Hall which is a stunning Theatre within Hull University. If you aren’t familiar with the venue, it’s a purpose built £9.5m Arts Venue and you can have a look at the stage you will be performing on via this link which will give you a panoramic tour Spherical Image | RICOH THETA (theta360.com)
A fun-filled week of Singing, Dancing, Acting, meeting new friends and having some much-needed fun! The event is run by cast members from Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers and the team are heading up from London to bring the West End to Hull.
Working in Junior and Senior age groups the juniors will work on the likes of The Greatest Showman, Frozen, Matilda, Wicked, and there will be some fun drama for them to get stuck in to.
Seniors will work on the West End and Broadway’s coolest shows including Hamilton, Six, Blood Brothers, and comedy from the likes of The Play That Goes Wrong. There will also be a few surprises thrown in.
The week will finish with a show that friends and family are invited to see and each place will receive at least 2 tickets which are included in the price (we will give you more if we have space in the auditorium). You will also receive a Stage-ed ‘Cast’ T shirt which is yours to keep.
We can’t stress enough that you don’t need any previous experience to attend – it's about having fun, and we consider it our job to put a smile on your face. Those that just want to be part of the chorus and sing some of the songs from their favourite films and musicals will have the time of their life, and those that are really passionate about any element of the performing arts and want to grab the mic will have the chance to shine!
The ethos behind our Summer School is to have fun, build confidence, and encourage meeting new friends – and this year more than ever that is what young people need most.
Juniors are from aged 6 –10 (we will allow 5 year old's if accompanied by an older brother, sister, cousin, or friend). Seniors will be 11/12 - 18. Groups will be determined on day 1. Scripts will be sent in advance and the week will involve working with a Choreographer, Musical Director, and Director.
If you are booking more than one child, then we offer a 10% discount on the second child. All deposits and any fully paid balance will be offered a 100% refund if we are forced to cancel due to Covid. The only thing that you will need to bring along each day is a packed lunch, some water, and a big fat smile.
If you have any further questions, then email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll get right back to you.
We have limited places and this will sell out so it’s strictly first come, first served. For those that are disappointed we will open a reserve list and keep you updated if anyone drops out.
